LVBT General Meeting

Come meet the people behind LVBT, hear the case for organized transit advocacy in the Valley, and figure out where you might plug in.

Sixty minutes. Cameras encouraged but optional. Here’s the hour:

  • 10 minutes — Who we are, why LVBT exists, and what we’ve already started.
  • 20 minutes — The Valley’s transit moment in plain language: the bus network we have, what’s about to be cut, and what the 2027 Nevada legislative session means for it.
  • 15 minutes — A tour of the projects we have running, grouped by the five initiative areas (public education, coalition building, legislative advocacy, research and accountability, youth engagement). Initiatives describe where the work fits; projects are where it happens.
  • 15 minutes — Open questions and matching volunteers with the projects that fit the time they have.

You don’t need prior transit knowledge to belong here. If you ride the bus, drive in traffic, walk a sidewalk, or care about how Las Vegas grows over the next decade, this meeting is for you.
