The 2027 Session Campaign

The public-facing umbrella for our legislative push, from Carson City days and supporter rallies to comment-period mobilizers and a hearing-testimony pipeline.

Why this project

The 2027 Nevada legislative session is the one window before RTC’s 2028 service cuts hit. State Legislator Outreach handles the relationship work in Carson City. This project is the public campaign: the one supporters can join, point friends to, and show up for. It runs from Q3 2026 through sine die, with a live hub on the site that says exactly where the fight is and what to do this week.

Key dates

  • Fall 2026 — Campaign hub launches; first supporter delegation organized
  • Feb 2, 2027 — 2027 NV Legislature convenes; campaign goes weekly cadence
  • Spring 2027 — Funding-bill committee hearings; comment-period pushes; testimony delegations
  • June 2027 — Sine die; immediate public recap; transition to scorecard publication via Transit Watch

Approach

  • Build the hub once; update weekly during session
  • Run delegations in pairs — a supporter day, a labor day, a neighborhood day — so different constituencies get their moment in Carson City
  • Pair every committee hearing with a comment-period push, a local-press push, and a supporter testimony slot
  • Recap publicly within 48 hours of every major milestone, win or loss
  • Coordinate ask language with State Legislator Outreach and the Workforce Coalition so the org speaks with one voice
